The entire community is scrambling this morning as news of the nation-wide recall hit last night.  Here are the facts:

  • ALL Auvi-Q are being recalled due to a potential dosage issue
  • You MUST replace your Auvi-Q with another epinephrine auto-injector
  • You need a prescription from your Doctor for the new auto-injector
  • Keep all receipts and proof of purchase for potential reimbursement
  • Keep your Auvi-Q auto-injectors
  • Notify your child’s school and teachers of the change in auto-injectors
  • Know which auto-injector you have been prescribed and how to use it

***Please, take this time to review your Allergy Action Plan and practice using your your replacement auto-injector.  Make sure everyone who may need to use it reviews it also.  This includes teachers, coaches, parents, caretakers and patients.  Click HERE to review Epipen Video.***
