I am a big fan of Dr. David Stukus.  I follow him on twitter and have been known to ask him, directly, his thoughts on new research or recent headlines.   He is a great source of reliable information regarding managing food allergies and asthma.   But what makes him so great, is not only his incredible knowledge but that he has made himself accessible through twitter and is willing to share his thoughts with his patients and the public.   I was so excited to be able to interview him for my latest episode of Food Allergy Chat.  Please listen and get to know why I think he is such an important voice in our community.

In this episode Dr. Stukus and I discuss:

  • the use of twitter to help educate
  • understanding the meaning of research presented at national scientific meetings
  • how patients can find reliable information
  • frustration with misleading headlines
  • the implications of the LEAP study
  • the most promising research in terms of treating or perhaps even curing food allergy
